With its location on Karl Johan in the center of Oslo and over 3 million visitors in 2022, Jul i Vinterland and Oslo has positioned itself as an important Christmas destination both nationally and internationally.

The event has taken the traditional Christmas market to a whole new dimension with a rich selection of family-friendly Christmas activities as a supplement to classic sales stalls. Every year the market is expanded with more stalls, more Christmas lighting, more activities, and a larger program of theater performances and free concerts throughout the period. We have also expanded with an atmospheric Christmas street framed by a large light installation. The starry sky has quickly become a favorite Instagram motif, and has been shared and spread thousands of times on various channels across the country.

In 2022, we also opened a new shopping street towards Paleet. Here, the stalls face an area with a lot of traffic, in the middle of Karl Johans gate. The street's first year was a huge success, attracting patrons to its outlets and the market in general. Like the rest of the event, the shopping street will be continuously developed, and will become even more attractive and atmospheric in 2024.
